Montlake Cut

A small painting I worked on a few weeks ago.  This is looking east to Lake Washington from the Montlake Bridge.

Skagit Valley Plein Air

I just finished a plein air workshop in Skagit Valley, offered through Gage Academy and led by Mitch Albala.  It was a fun time, and I would recommend Mitch to anyone interested in improving their process around painting.  He makes wonderful paintings, is a great communicator, and can scale his teaching for beginners or advanced painters.

Here's a few sketches I worked on.

Paintings from Scott Christensen's early summer workshop

Early this summer I went to Idaho for a landscape painting workshop with Scott Christensen.  A great experience, with 10 days in which to brush up on and learn some fundamentals.
